Monday night marked the culmination of a celebratory weekend when Jayna Hefford, (5-time Olympic medalist and interim commissioner of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League) was inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame. Continue the celebration of women’s hockey at the Epic Ladies Night Out event on November 24th hosted by SeeWhatSheCanDo and the Markham Thunder.
This event will unite all female hockey lovers from the every day player and fan to CWHL pros and Olympians through the power of sport.
The night kicks off with an inspiring pre-game panel of speakers including Sami Jo Small (GM of the Toronto Furies, 3-time Olympian, former CWHL Player), Lori Dupuis (2-time Olympic Medalist, former GM of the Brampton Thunder, former CWHL Player) and Chelsea Purcell (GM of the Markham Thunder, former CWHL player).
Then, we’ll watch the CWHL's most fierce rivals, the Markham Thunder and Toronto Furies, battle it out on the ice.
Post-game, we’ll head over to a private room where we’ll mingle with Markham Thunder and Toronto Furies players over snacks.
