Every team has a different story of where they came from, how they came
together, and how they like to play their hockey. So, to showcase the different backgrounds and stories of the teams playing in the CARHA Hockey World Cup we will chronicle their journey's leading up to the 2012 extravaganza.
If you have a story you want to share be sure to pass it along
The Flintstone Flyers – Road to the 2012 CARHA Hockey World Cup
The Flintstone Flyers were formed about 16 years ago when most of us stopped playing semi-pro hockey for such teams as Aviemore Blackhawks, Peterborough Pirates, Nottingham Panthers, Duram Wasps, Dundee Rockets, Solihull Barons, and Cardiff Devils.
We get together once a year to go on tour to such places as Toronto, Edmonton, France, Holland, Germany and many more. 11 of the team members are from a ski resort in the highlands of Scotland called Aviemore. On every tour we wear our kilts and Flyers t-shirts and yes it is true what they say about scots...we wear nothing under our kilts! See you in 2012.
