Hey Canada! We're cheering on your efforts throughout the pandemic and inviting you to take the next stride with us as we return to the sports and activities we love. Your participation could win you the $10,000 Grand Prize towards a charity, local business, or community project of your choice!
Here's how it works
It's easy to participate! Share a story of positivity, submit a photo or nominate a community leader at www.TheNextStride.ca.
Each month from June through August, we'll randomly draw 3 Stars from all the entries. Each star will be awarded a $500 donation on their behalf to a local business, charity, sport association, community/municipality, etc of their choice.*
All entries received before Monday, June 21 will be entered into our draw for a CARHA Hockey swag prize package!
During September, the 9 finalists will be voted on and the winner will be awarded a grand prize of $10,000 donated on their behalf to a local business, charity, sport association, community/municipality, etc of their choice.*
Entries will be posted to the interactive map on our website so follow along as we get one stride closer to getting back on the ice!
Be creative
Everyone can participate! Here are some examples how:
- Share some good news like starting a new hobby or trying a new activity, how you supported local or provided PPE to those in need by sewing masks or gowns at home. Maybe your hockey league was safely able to play or you organized video calls with friends and family to stay connected
- Submit a photo like getting vaccinated, a work from home or virtual learning setup, or practices to keep others safe.
- Nominate a community leader like a frontline worker who's been working overtime, a child committed to wearing their mask all day, a parent helping to dress their child for hockey in the parking lot, a league administrator navigating the safety protocols to start the season, or a community member who has delivered food to someone in isolation
