Celebrating Pride Month: Interview with Tyler Fitch
We had the pleasure of chatting with Tyler to learn more about his hockey journey and experiences, the importance of inclusion in sport, and staying true to himself.
"Just because we're a hockey team or a sports team doesn't mean we can't focus on inclusion. I think whether it's a league or a team, whether it's coaches or whoever it is taking the responsibility to make these conversations normal is helpful because that avoids the situation I had to go through where you're thinking someone's sexuality or identity is clashing with their image of liking hockey."

The Outdoor Hockey Club
We connected with filmmaker Randy Frykas to learn more about this great club which he developed as a way to stay active, healthy, and challenge himself when lockdowns started. He'd been trying to incorporate playing hockey into his busy life and found the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the game for its simple aspects.
Now he's sharing his passion and encouraging others to play for the love of the game, outside where it was meant to be played. Check out the Outdoor Hockey Club, where there are no sign-ups, no registrations, no tryouts. If you have a stick then you're basically in!

Plaid for Dad
Our CARHA Hockey team is excited to be participating in the Canadian Cancer Society's Plaid for Dad campaign!
You can help by donating to our workplace campaign or we encourage you to wear plaid on Friday, June 18 to raise awareness and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the estimated 1 in 9 men who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
