The Sagkeeng Oldtimers hockey team joined the Canadian Oldtimers Hockey Association in 1978 and went on to compete in international tournaments throughout Europe, the United States and Canada. The team holds titles in the 1987 World Cup, 1989 World Cup in Munich and in the 1987 Canadian National Cup.
