A Winter Treasure on Ice! This ODR is central and accessible to everyone in Blind River. Nestled next to the heart of our town, the Blind River Community Centre, this ice-skating rink is an oasis of winter magic. Located near Lake Huron and our marine park, you can also see the old mill silo in the background, almost making it feel like you’re taking a step back in time. The rink reflects the crisp northern sky, which is even more gorgeous at night when you can skate under the beautiful stars. So whether you’re just learning how to skate, or playing a game of shinny, the rink captures the essence of great northern winters. Many people from outside of Blind River make the drive to enjoy the rink which is fantastic. It’s a winter win for the whole area!
