First rink we’ve ever built. It has telephone poles around three sides, and two by sixes on one end. We were able to use recycled plastic, and were surprised at how un-level the ground was. 1’6” on the deep side and only 4” on the shallow end, more lumber was required to build up the sides. Got to experiment with different tapes, my heat gun, and staple gun. Cats and plastic rink tarps DONOT mix! We added the light poles, a power pole bench, and the two 2nd hand nets my mom got for us. A lot of work, but worth every second when you get to admire a fresh flood, or the look on our three year olds face.
