Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club wives raise more than $30,000 for charity

The Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club’s Bowser Ladies are making a significant impact in the community through their charitable efforts.

Bowser, which stands for Burlington Oldtimers Women Supplying Emergency Relief, has been dedicated to supporting the Burlington Food Bank since 1992. This initiative was started by six hockey wives who attended games monthly and collected non-perishable food donations from attendees.

On Monday, September 9, BOWSER proudly announced that they had gathered over 4,000 food items and raised more than $30,000 in donations, with an additional $2,400 contributed by league members.

Over the past 31 years, this remarkable group has collected a total of 103,248 food items and raised $378,475 for charity.
